Two shot while driving near intersection of Division and Larrabee with 1-year-old in car
Update: The 32-year-old driver of the white Buick Regal reported in the story may have been involved in a rolling vehicle shootout with the maroon sedan. The 28-year-old female driver of the Toyota remains an uninvolved victim in the shooting.
CHICAGO - Chicago Police reported that two people were shot in the 1100 block of North Larrabee, near Division Street, around 1:45pm on Saturday. One of the vehicles had a 1-year-old in the car.
A 32-year-old male was driving a white Buick Regal sedan westbound near Clybourn Ave and Division St and was being followed by a maroon sedan.
The unknown occupant(s) from the maroon sedan fired shots toward the white Buick, striking the 32-year-old multiple times in the body. The man driving the white Buick had a 1-year-old male child in the vehicle with him. The baby sustained cuts to his feet from broken glass.
The 32-year-old male victim was transported to Northwestern Hospital in good condition while the 1-year-old was transported to Lurie Children's Hospital in good condition for his injuries.
The second person, a 28-year-old female, was traveling in a different vehicle near the white Buick when she was struck in the arm by the stray gunfire. She was transported to Northwestern Hospital in good condition.
No offenders/occupants are in custody and Area Three detectives are investigating.
