Comment: ICYMI eleven kids 16 and under have been shot since Sunday afternoon
Since 4:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon, eleven kids 16 and under have been shot. Two of those eleven are dead. A total of 58 people have been shot in the same timeframe. Nine of those 58 people have been killed. Enjoy the weekend.

In case you missed it, not sure you were aware, just wanted to pass along, thought you might want to know, don't want you to feel like we forgot about you, just checkin' in with ya, something to be cognizant of, wanted to make sure we were doing our due diligence, spreadin' the word, didn't meant to interrupt but we'll make it quick, to whom it may concern.
Eleven kids 16 and under have been shot since Sunday afternoon. Two of those eleven are dead and another two are critical.
Since 4:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon, a total of 58 people have been shot in the city of Chicago. Nine of those 58 people have been killed.
The first kid was shot just after 4:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon in the 13100 block of S. St. Lawrence in the Riverdale neighborhood. The 16-year-old was shot in the chest and later died at University of Chicago Hospital. You can read more about it here:

About 8:30 p.m. Sunday night, a 14-year-old boy was outside near Burnside Park when he was shot in a drive-by. He was sent to Comer Children's Hospital in critical condition.

Early Monday morning, a 16-year-old teenager walked-in to Provident Hospital with a gunshot wound to his left thigh. It's unclear exactly how the teen was injured as he was uncooperative with police.

A 6-year-old is in critical condition after he was shot in the back on Wednesday afternoon. It's an injury the child suffered while just, you know, being inside an apartment in the Woodlawn neighborhood.

Aw shucks, I almost forgot the attempted kidnapping of the 9-year-old girl Wednesday morning. She was shopping with her grandmother in the West Ridge neighborhood on the city's north side when a man grabbed her and ran around the corner of the store. She bit him in the hand and was able to get away.

Also Wednesday afternoon, four teen boys were on a front porch of a boarded up home in Englewood when all four of them were shot.

A 15-year-old, later identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office as Benjamin Ortega, was shot in the 2400 block of S. Trumbull in the Little Village neighborhood around 9:00 p.m. Wednesday Night. The teen was able to get himself to Mount Sinai hospital after he was shit, and he was initially listed in serious condition at Mount Sinai, but he later died from his injuries.

A 14-year-old boy was walking on the 8200 block of S. Yates in the South Chicago neighborhood near Eckersall Park when someone shot him from a green SUV.
The teen was shot three times. Once in the upper abdomen, once in the hip, and once in the shoulder. He was dropped off at University of Chicago Hospital in fair condition.
