Chicago Police officially charged Andre Gonzalez, 35, of the 10700 block of S. Avenue C in Chicago's East Side neighborhood in the far southern district, with four (4) felony counts of armed robbery with a dangerous weapon. In this case, the dangerous weapon was a machete.

In a press conference, Police Superintendent David Brown said the crime spree began May 27, and Brown indicated that he expects more charges to be forthcoming as more victims are interviewed.
