7 shot in one incident on Sunday afternoon in South Chicago
CHICAGO - Police are reporting that seven men were shot outside of a strip mall this afternoon on the city's south side.
The incident happened around 3:20 p.m. in the 7900 block of S. Exchange in the city's South Chicago neighborhood.
Police said that seven male victims were on the sidewalk outside of a Little Caesars pizza on the above mentioned block when a car pulled up. Someone in the vehicle opened fire with as many as 60 shots, striking all seven male victims standing outside, Superintendent Brown said.
Authorities were still unsure if this was a targeted hit or if it stemmed from an argument.

The list of injuries to the victims is as follows:
- Male, 63, struck to the leg – transported to Stroger Hospital initially reported in good condition.
- Male, 62, struck to the leg – transported to University of Chicago Hospital initially reported in good condition.
- Male, 59, struck to the leg – transported to University of Chicago Hospital initially reported in good condition.
- Male, 51, struck to the hip – transported to Northwestern Hospital initially reported in good condition.
- Male, 36, struck to the leg – transported to Northwestern Hospital initially reported in good condition.
- Male, 34, struck to the chest – transported to University of Chicago Hospital initially reported in critical condition.
- Male, 31, struck to the abdomen – transported to University of Chicago Hospital initially reported in critical condition.
There is no one in custody at this time. Area Detectives are investigating.
